Tarot Card - The Hermit

This is the Hermit card, number 9 in the Major Arcana. The 9 is the number of completion, for the Wise One. They are old Souls that are always there for other people. They are intuitively strong, and a teacher or mentor to others. The 9 is for consciousness and contemplation.
The Hermit is one of the easiest card to interpret. He is on a snowy mountain top, which is symbolizing growth and spiritual mastership. He is holding the lantarn, to shine the light to others, who are also on their way to the top. In his lantarn you will see a six-pointed star, this is the Seal of Solomon, the symbol of wisdom. He holds a wand in his left hand, the left side is for your subconsciousness and the wand is a sign of power and authority. He is being led by his intuition, and is in balance. The left side is also for the past, and the road the Hermit has travelled. He has reached his goal, and is now willing to help others to do the same.

General:
The Hermit reminds you that sometimes you need to withdraw in your own energy, to overthink things and recharge. You are allowed to live through your emotions, in stead of suppressing them. Me-time is very important. Without it nobody can survive in this society. Are you afraid of being alone with your thoughts? Know that you can't run away for them forever. Depending on the other cards in the spread, this card could also represent someone that is withdrawn from society, or isn't willing to move forward.

Career:
Maybe you are thinking "is this all there is". It could mean a change, or a new job, or a totally different work environment. Perhaps you want to work less, because you think money is less important than spending time with family and friends. If you are unemployed, try to take the time to think about what you really want to do in life.

Love:
This is not a positive card in love. You are feeling lonely, or you are in a relationship, but still feel lonely. The card indicates that you need to overthink your life. Which lessons you had to learn, and if you are willing to move forward, to change your life completely? The card could also mean someone that is withdrawn and struggling with his emotions. Eventually it's all about going inside, love yourself first, so you are not dependant on a partner to experience love or happiness. Only then can you find equal partnership.
