The Emperor sits on his thrown, he radiates authority. He symbolizes your mind, and is the opposite of the Empress. He is pure male energy, willpower. The number 4 is connected to the builder, patience, stability and organization.

The Emperor is holding an ankh in his right hand. It symbolizes eternal life. In his left hand he is holding the globe; wordly dominion. The ram’s heads on the throne are showing that he is not held back by anything, he never gives up. He also has inner wisdom (archetype bearded man) and power. Sometimes he needs to learn to soften up a bit, and surrender to his emotions.

This card is showing that you can take the leadership role upon yourself. It could also represent a person in your life, perhaps a father figure, or a partner. It shows you that ideas can only come to life, when you take action. It’s a very grounding card, showing the grounding colours (red, orange). And the rocks and mountains in the background.

This card shows you that you can achieve anything you want to, if you only persevere on your pathway, and do not let yourself be distracted. The Emperor gives you confidence and perseverance. He is the master builder, and can make something out of nothing. This card also represents a teacher or a mentor.

General:
You feel you are in need of structure and stability in your life. The Emperor teaches you to stand up for yourself, and follow your own unique pathway. Negative traits are, that sometimes you want to have it your own way too many times, and you are not connected to your emotions (intuition).

Career:
You are a leader and a go-getter. You can set up great plans, and bring structure back into the business. You can achieve anything you want, because you never give up. Don’t overdo it however, because you can be very stubborn. Respect others’ opinions as well.


Relationship:
This can symbolize a long-term relationship. This man knows what he wants, and can build you a home. But sometimes he can show an authoritarian attitude, and is stuck in his ways. Please speak your mind.
