Tarot Card – The Tower

Tarot Card – The Tower

The Tower is the 16the card of the Major Arcana. The number 16 is counted as 7, this is the number of introspection, spirituality and the philosopher. The number also symbolizes searching for the truth, having faith, and trust. This card is for major changes in your life.

Many people think this is a scary card too. Lightning hits the tower, the crown falls off, and 2 people are falling out of the tower, a man and woman (ego and intuition). You are seeing 22 fire balls in the cards, which represent the 22 cards in the Marjor Arcana, lessons that need to be learned, before you will reach Enlightenment. The lightning destroys the crown, which represents the ego, or materialism.

Towers were usually build to get closer to God, but the people here have lost perspective in life, and have isolated themselves. In this card the tower seems like a prison (locking yourself up), because there is no door. The tower is also for letting go of structures. The lightning is purifying, and is for gaining insights, for transformation, and getting into contact with your intuition.

General:
The Tower is for huge changes, you can't avoid them. You have to face them, whether you want to, or not. Life changes every day, and you can better adjust yourself to those changes, and go with the flow.

Are you stuck in certain old thinking patterns? Do you have to change your life for the better. Get out of your comfort zone. The change can be a blessing, and set you free.

Career:
It's not a positive card to have, and it's for failures. It's drawn for people who have lost everything, financially as well. Sometimes for people who are getting fired. If nothing is up yet, be prepared, and don't panic. Sometimes things need to happen, to be cleansed, before you can be happy again, in a new job, or perhaps you are ready for something new in your life. This card indicates that it's definitely time to move forward now. To grow, and evolve.

Love:
This card usually means the end of a relationship, or resistance to a new relationship. It can be a soulmate relationship, where they pull away and attract, over and over again. It's someone holding on to his or her ego, not being their true self, and not wanting to face the truth about themselves. There is no escaping it anymore.
