Tarot Card - The Star XVII.

Tarot Card - The Star XVII. The Star is the 17th card in the Major Arcana. The number can be reduced to 8, which is a very posiive number, the number of financial gain, strength, and dreams that may come true.

The number 1 is the male energy; Source energy, and number 7 the mind, which is a very powerful combination. The cosmic information can descend in the mind, and manifest itself through the earth (body).

You see a naked self-conscious woman in the card. Her right foot is in the water, and her left knee on the ground. She has two water jugs, and pours the water onto the ground, nourishing the earth, and back into the pool, cleansed. Pouring back the water is also a symbol of abundance.

The water element is for cleansing and the intuition. Where the earth is for the material world. The earth is being nourished by the water, and this represents fertility. The water goes into five water streams, which represents the five senses. The woman is free and connected to her intuition, but also staying firmly grounded.

Above her head you see a large yellow star, and 7 smaller white stars. It has been said that the 7 smaller stars are for the 7 chakras, which need to be cleansed and in balance, for a healthy life on earth. But the 7 also is a holy number. You could also say, that the yellow large star is the Divine; Source energy, and the 7 smaller stars humans on earth.

The stars have 8 points. The 8 returns to show that you have the strength to accomplish anything you want in life. It's to embrace your negative side. Her nakedness is for facing the naked truth about yourself

On the right side you see a bird in a tree. The tree is for the mind, and the bird for higher thoughts. The bird is an ibis, and he is connected to the God Thoth, the God of wisdom, magic, writing and gaining insights. The bird helps you to focus on your Higher Self. So you may receive inner wisdom.
