Tarot Card - The Devil XV

Tarot Card - The Devil XV.  Another card that people fear the most, the Devil card. The devil is also called Satan. Satan is Hebrew for opponent, or false advisor.

He is half human and half goat; the symbol of evil. He has a deathly look in his eyes. The bat wings symbolizes someone sucking energy from you. The reversed pentagram is a sign of te occult and black magic. The torch in his hands is representing passion, sexuality, the material world, and how the fire can consume you, if you are not careful.

The chained man and woman are under influence of the devil. If you look closely, you can see the chains are very loose, and their hands are free. They are there out of their own Free Will. Look at the tails of the man and woman. In the Garden of Eden they have eaten from the tree of life (man), and tree of knowledge (woman) of good and evil. They have horns because the more they are under influence of the devil, the more they lose of their humanity.

The fire of the devil is brought down to earth, the fire is representing sexuality, animal instincts and the material world. The black background is for darkness, and how you can't discover any light or Truth. Selfdesctructive.

The Devil card has the number 15, which is 6. At the Lovers Card (6), the six is for unconditional love, helping others, your loved ones and your community. This 6 is for all negative traits, selfishness, irresponsible, conditional love, and addictions.
