Finding a Purpose

You’re well suited to millions of things.

Choosing which one of them you want to focus on is the hard part.

This is where being a psychic is a little tricky.

We can see the purpose behind any given situation.

Telling you your purpose in life is a lot trickier. This is only because you haven’t chosen just one purpose to master. It’s very rare we see a person who chooses only one given vocation, or who strides the same path with the same people their entire life.

Yes, people count too. Just as others have a specific purpose in your life, so do you have a purpose in theirs. Depending on the person, it’s a few months to a few years you’ll be involved with one another.

Sometimes, it’s for life.

But there is a difference between your purpose as a whole in life – what you have come here to do – and what favours you have agreed to in order to help others along their path, and vice versa.

Owning your purpose isn’t singular.

It’s plural.

Because you have many things you wish to accomplish in this life, many roads can get you there. Perhaps for a time you decide your purpose is to be a builder. This doesn’t mean that you have to become a certified contractor or get degrees in construction or architecture. It means simply that for a time in your life, you will choose to build or construct things that contribute to your sense of well being – and in many cases, in the doing, you will also have contributed to the well being of others.

Perhaps you decide to be a warrior. This is a broad term that can range from being an actual soldier fighting regimes who don’t serve their people well, to being someone who fights for social justice. Interestingly enough, while some people might see those who work in law enforcement as warriors fighting crime, it is entirely possible, depending on what type of law enforcement one chooses to work in, that they are healers, doing their best to put an end to pain and suffering by solving cold cases and answering questions which haunt loved ones left behind.

A whole spectrum exists to choose from, where purpose is concerned. In a lifetime, we choose many different purposes to help us understand who we truly are. There is no one overriding purpose that guides us throughout our life other than that of a student who truly loves to learn. In the service of learning we will take on many different experiences and walk many roads to make the most of what we came here to do: perfect ourselves.

No matter what your purpose might be, there will always be a challenge that goes with it. Any number of obstacles will arrive in the path which might make you question your purpose. There are times in fact, when questioning your purpose is the very point! Progress you can’t make in any other way might find you turning around and heading in another direction altogether from the path you were previously walking.

No matter how you own your purpose, the one thing you must always remember is that you will never handicap yourself by making your life easy.
